Big statement made Monday night by Golden State, who crushed Cleveland by 34 points and put up 104 points through three quarters. Things went so bad for the Cavs that they were clearly flustered, including JR Smith receiving a flagrant-2 foul which accompanies an automatic ejection. Golden State has now swept the season series with the Eastern Conference frontrunners, and will no doubt remain a heavy favorite to win it all this year as long as the Warriors stay relatively healthy. That victory helped Golden State keep a slim two-game lead over the surging San Antonio Spurs for first place in the Western Conference, and while both of those teams are still unbeaten at home this season, Golden State has played five more road games than the Spurs, so that two-game lead is a bit misleading. Warriors now 19-4 straight up on the road, which is easily the best road record in the NBA. More importantly, Golden State is a profitable 15-7-1 against the pointspread in those away games.
